Westerville & Columbus Newborn Photographer | Tami Harris Photography
Where do I even begin with this adorable bunch? (I mean seriously...look at these babies! Aagh!) My relationship with the Franks family started back in January of 2020...before the world lost it's ever loving mind! As always, I was honored when I received a request to document the birth of their sweet baby boy Ajay, with a Fresh 48 Hospital Session. We were all systems go awaiting Ajay's March arrival when...you guessed it; COVID-19 reared it's ugly head and we suddenly started scrambling trying to figure out how (or if) we could even get his session done. Timing being what it was, Ajay made his precious little debut in the middle of a pandemic, when only 1 visitor was allowed at the hospital. In fact, my original blog post: 5 Tips For Photographing Your Newborn When Your Hospital is Limiting Visitors was written specifically with this family in mind. I was heartbroken for them (and for me, because I love Fresh 48 Sessions so much)! But when life give you lemons. . . You wait a few months and schedule a beautiful, outdoor family session instead.
If there's one thing I've learned as a Photographer and Business Owner during this crazy time, it's that things happen and often times, not according to our plans. But that does not mean that they can't be beautiful, and perfect, and just as they should have been. I loved this adapted "Newborn" photography session for them. Why? Because it allowed me to capture their personalities more than a hospital setting (during a global health crisis) would have. I got to watch Big Sister, Kadence run around the gardens at Inniswood doing all the funny things Threenagers do! I got to watch them interact as a family and capture every bit of their personalities and it was worth the wait! Despite the heat and the threat of storms on the horizon that night, I truly felt the love that these two parents have for their little ones and I think their portraits showcase that beautifully!
