There are few times more exciting in your life than when you're expecting your first baby! I remember being pregnant with my boys and being completely obsessed with my growing belly. If I was relaxing at home, you better believe that belly was exposed and I was eagerly keeping a watchful eye out for every little movement. Despite the exhaustion, morning sickness, etc. I loved being pregnant ,so I was absolutely thrilled when asked by a friend from church to capture her maternity photos.
One of the things that I truly loved about this session was the fact that the love that Kristen and Matt share with each other was so tangible throughout the session. The way he was always there to lend her a hand when standing up or getting down into a seated pose. (If you're a mama, you know the struggle!) Or the way they whispered, smiled and laughed to each other when I posed them. It was the sweetest thing!
Not only did I get the joy of witnessing these tender moments between the two of them, but what's even better, is that I get to follow them along their journey into parenthood together. In a few short weeks, I'll be photographing their sweet baby boy when he makes his debut...and I couldn't be more honored to be the one to do it.
